As a cloud-based company entrusted with our customers\u2019 data, we\u2019ll continue to view the treatment of our users\u2019 data as a top priority.<\/p>\n<p>Help Teaching and GDPR<\/p>\n<p>Continuing to protect our customers\u2019 information is extremely important to us. Measures we are taking include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Continuing to invest in our security infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li>Giving users the ability to access their own data and delete their account.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring there\u2019s a consent checkbox and that all user data is gathered only after receiving appropriate consent.<\/li>\n<li>Anonymizing IP addresses for Google Analytics<\/li>\n<li>For customers located in the EU: Implementing on a more robust Cookie Policy to make sure that merchants have the information they need to get effective consent for us to place the cookies necessary to provide our platform.<\/li>\n<li>Working to ensure we have the appropriate contractual terms in place with all relevant third parties.<\/li>\n<li>Updating our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.helpteaching.com\/about\/terms\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Terms of Service<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.helpteaching.com\/about\/privacy\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Privacy Policy<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information on the specifics of GDPR, please read <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eugdpr.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the regulation<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dataiq.co.uk\/blog\/summary-eu-general-data-protection-regulation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this summary<\/a>.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On May 25th 2018, the most comprehensive change to privacy legislation ever undertaken \u2014the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)\u2014 takes effect.
