Circumference of a Circle
Circumference of a Circle
Introduction: Circumference is the distance around a circle. You can think of circumference as the perimeter of a circle. The tricky part is how to accurately measure a curved shape. To do so, you must use the irrational number pi [math](pi)[/math]. Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Circumference Formulas
- [math]C = 2pir[/math], where r is the radius
- [math]C = pid[/math], where d is the diameter [math](d = 2r)[/math]
